Am I Smart Enough?

It’s a question we hear from prospective students nearly every day: “Am I smart enough to succeed in an IT career?” Technology changes rapidly, and if you’re still new to the idea of IT, you might feel like you won’t be able to keep up in your pursuit of a new career.

Hear us when we say this: You are smart enough to have a successful IT career.

However, not everyone that thinks about attending Carolina Career College will have a successful IT career. That’s because it’s less about “smarts” and more about putting in the effort.

We’ll give you the tools you need

Our goal is to equip every Carolina Career College student with the tools needed to be successful. We truly want to see everyone succeed! We’ll help you decide which IT path is right for you, teach you courses relating to that path, and help you develop the skills you need to make you competitive in interviews.

You’ll also have access to our Career Services, which includes help with resume and cover letter writing, mock interview scenarios, and job fairs. You’ll have the tools you need to help you transition to a new career right at your fingertips every day.

But… (you knew this was coming, right?)

You have to be willing to put in the time and work

As the old saying goes, “Nothing worth having in life comes easy.” Sure, it would be nice to sign up for Carolina Career College, show up to a class or two, and be presented with your certificate before jumping head first into your IT career.

But, that’s not how it works, and we’re not here to try to sell you that false reality.

Just like a hammer and a nail are essential to building a house, a house won’t magically appear just because you have a hammer and nail in your toolbox. You’ll have the tools you need to be successful here, but you’ll have to use them because they won’t work on their own.

We’ll be honest; not everyone will be a good fit for Carolina Career College. But, if you’re ready to commit to going to classes, doing the coursework, studying for exams, and working with our staff as you chase your dream of a new IT career, there’s a good chance that you’ll be successful.

Sometimes, the hardest part is getting started

We understand that making the choice to change your career can be hard and overwhelming. You may be flooded with insecurities and questioning if you have what it takes to become an IT professional.

If you decide to enroll at Carolina Career College, know that you’ll have a whole team of people in your corner, rooting you on and reminding you that you can do it.

Read through some of our student stories or schedule a tour of our campus to learn more about what you can expect here. When you’re ready to put in the work, we’ll be here to help guide you every step of the way.
