IT Careers in the Triangle: Welcome to the Boomtown

Does a week go by when the Triangle isn’t on a “Best of” list?business-163467_1280

Last week, Forbes names Raleigh the #2 easiest city in which to find a job, and Information Technology the “hottest sector.” In July, 2014 Raleigh led their list of “Best Places for Business and Careers.” Nerd Wallet called Raleigh “Best for Job Seekers.” New Geography called Raleigh-Cary the “4th Best City for Job Growth.”

You get the idea.

Everyone around here knows that when Raleigh tops lists like that, it’s not just Raleigh being represented. Downtown Raleigh is experiencing incredible tech mobility, with companies like Citrix and Red Hat investing heavily to bring their headquarters in – but Research Triangle Park, which sits between Raleigh and Durham, has been and continues to be the engine that drives North Carolina’s technology bus. The point being, there are jobs to the left, right, up, down, and all around in Central North Carolina.

With Information Technology job openings in North Carolina up 6.2% from September to October according to the North Carolina Technology Association, there really has never been a better time to jump on – especially since technology certifications show companies that applicants are well trained and ready to take on the job.

Carolina Career College Computer Learning Center of Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill offers IT training at its Research Triangle Park campus. Contact us to schedule your tour today!
