Hearts Broken Over U.S. Marines Shooting in Chattanooga
Helping to change people’s lives is a big responsibility, and a big honor. At Carolina Career College of Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, changing lives takes on a new meaning when so many of our students served our country. North Carolina is one of America’s most military-friendly states, and veterans from bases including Ft. Bragg, Pope, and Camp Lejeune take and have taken IT training courses here. We greet them when they walk through our doors, help them write their resume, do mock interview training, join them at Career Fairs and hands-on learning opportunities, sit with them at our Veterans Day Appreciation Dinner…in short, we spend a lot of time together. Our veterans are more than just our students, they are a great source of pride for all of us.
When we heard today that four U.S. Marines were killed at two military sites in Chattanooga, TN, our hearts were broken.
It’s like losing four friends.
Those that sacrifice everything deserve only the best from all of us – and all we can offer today is our heartfelt condolences.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims’ families and all those who grieve.
